Role: Senior Motion Designer (AI Exp) Location: Remote working until further notice A little bit about the role: Awareness and adoption of GenAI technology has transformed advertising, creating entirely new opportunities, and challenges for creative teams. We’re looking for a Senior Motion Designer (AI Exp) to deliver a wide range of different marketing material, from social assets such as GIFs or Instagram posts, to cutdowns of TVCs, 2D animation, graphics that include motion such as supers or icons, and various graphic elements, based on the provided assets. You will be trained on our AI platform, Pencil, and will be using Pencil along with a range of other AI tools to ensure you deliver high-performing, innovative ads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in motion graphics and editing, inclusive of grading and sound design. Experience in 2D animation workflows, from concept development and storyboarding through to final execution is essential. A good knowledge or history of work in Social Media as well as AI is desirable. Ultimately, as the Senior Motion Designer (AI Exp), you will create and edit video content, ensure high-quality production, and collaborate with the creative team to meet project goals, through the use of AI as well as traditional tools. What you'll be doing: - Working closely with GenAI Art Directors/Creators/PM’s to bring projects and work from concept to final delivery. - Create and adapt high-quality content leveraging AI and traditional tools. - Produce visual assets that align with client's creative standards and effectively scale creative production across brands and channels. - Expand the creative output of the team. Confidence in ideation along with the ability to create bespoke high-end animation and video edits is essential. - Take projects from brief to completion, injecting new ideas and creativity - all in close adherence to the client's brand guidelines. - Strong skills in mastering, editing, remastering and adjusting master assets for various crops and formats are required. - As a business we're committed to ensuring everyone on our team is fully trained and confident in using Pencil AI, and other approved AI tools. A wide range of internal resources are available to make sure our teams stay ahead of the AI curve: training, webinars, newsletters, AI communities etc. - You are expected to maintain an active AI proficiency and keep up to date by: - Completing ongoing, structured internal AI training including Pencil. - Continuously up-skilling using our approved AI tools including Pencil. - Stay up to date with evolving AI trends through our newsletters, webinars, hackathons, AI communities etc - Collaborate and contribute to AI knowledge-sharing sessions embracing our culture of Learning. What you'll need: - Experience as a motion designer in an advertising agency, in-house creative group, or related design studio. - Proven portfolio of motion design work, representing both traditional and AI-assisted projects. AI can be personal projects or Client related work. - A strong willingness to adapt current workflow to include GenAI. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator). - Working knowledge of GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Veo3 etc. (Training on our specific platform, Pencil, will be provided.) - Comfortable with fundamental GenAI techniques like model selection, creative prompting, and collaborative AI-driven ideation. - A critical eye for detail - able to analyse GenAI-generated outputs, quickly spot subtle errors or inconsistencies, and correct them via prompt refinement or additional editing tools to achieve polished results. - Strong judgment in evaluating briefs and strategically identifying where and how GenAI can be integrated into the creative workflow for maximum efficiency and impact. - Any hands-on experience delivering real-world creative using GenAI (desirable). - Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and a collaborative attitude. - Optimism about the evolving role of GenAI in creativity, with adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset. - Awareness of legal/ethical considerations in using AI-generated assets.
