Job purpose The Senior Director of Financial Solutions is responsible for leading and scaling BELAY’s Financial Solutions delivery organization. This role ensures alignment across systems, processes, and teams to drive consistent, high-quality client outcomes and operational performance. This leader oversees Outsourced Accounting, Onboarding, and Tax, translating company strategy into execution. They are accountable for delivery consistency, operational efficiency, and developing leaders who can independently manage high-performing teams. Duties and responsibilities As a BELAY Senior Director, you will represent the company with professionalism and excellence in all virtual and in-person interactions, consistently embodying our mission, vision, and core values. You are expected to foster a collaborative, positive team environment while maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care. Operational Leadership & Execution - Lead day-to-day operations across Financial Solutions service lines, including Outsourced Accounting, Onboarding, and Tax - Own and evolve the operating model to ensure scalability, efficiency, and consistency across teams - Translate company strategy into clear operational plans, workflows, and performance expectations - Identify and remove operational bottlenecks impacting delivery, quality, or throughput - Drive standardization across teams in how work is executed, communicated, and escalated Performance & Accountability - Hold Directors accountable to key performance outcomes, including client retention, service quality, utilization, and delivery efficiency - Establish and monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive visibility and continuous improvement - Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to manage budgets, team capacity, and cost efficiency - Support forecasting and capacity planning to align delivery resources with client demand Client Delivery & Quality - Ensure consistent, high-quality, and timely client outcomes across all service lines - Monitor client satisfaction and retention data; drive improvements to reduce churn and increase client lifetime value - Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce error rates and improve delivery efficiency People Leadership & Development - Lead and develop a team of Directors, ensuring strong leadership capability across all functions - Build a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous development aligned with BELAY’s values - Partner with HR on performance management, talent development, hiring, and organizational design - Lead change management efforts as processes, systems, and structures evolve Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Sales and Marketing on capacity planning and pipeline visibility - Collaborate with Finance on budget management and operational efficiency - Serve as the operational bridge between executive leadership and frontline delivery teams Qualifications This role requires a motivated and trustworthy self-starter with strong communication and technological skills, who thrives independently and as part of a team, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done! Our ideal director is flexible, creative, well-organized and will conduct relational and efficient coaching at all times. - 10-15+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial services, or professional services - 7-10+ years of experience leading managers of managers within multi-functional service delivery teams - Experience operating and scaling multi-department organizations with accountability for performance and efficiency - Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance, client outcomes, and team productivity - Strong business acumen with experience in capacity planning, resource allocation, and cost management - Experience leading through process improvement, system implementation, or organizational change - Ability to translate strategy into scalable execution - Experience partnering cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HR - Data-driven approach to decision-making using KPIs and operational metrics - Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or advanced degree a plus Working conditions BELAY Corporate offers full-time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hours.
