About the Team We design, build, and operate the foundational identity and authentication layer for Netflix’s cloud infrastructure. We deliver paved-path services that enable Netflix to scale securely and with velocity, serving as the root of trust for agentic, machine and workload identities. Our scope includes managing core infrastructure like identity provisioning, secret management, mTLS, and secure SSH access. What You’ll Do - Help innovate within the domain of agentic identity as we build out a platform offering to enable various GenAI use cases. - Serve as one of the technical 'North Stars' on the team and advocate for changes, advancements, and innovation within our domain in order to meet business needs. - Design, build, and maintain critical identity and authentication services - Develop features and enhancements related to agentic identity, workload identity, mTLS, and authentication token issuance. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to deliver secure, reliable, and developer-friendly solutions. - Participate in our on-call rotation, supporting high-availability services that are critical to Netflix’s security posture. About You - Distinguished Technical Leader who identifies and solves highly complex, open-ended problems, driving significant business and technical impact and defining the longer-term technical strategy for identity and authentication at Netflix. - Advanced proficiency in Java, with extensive experience designing and building scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems. - Deep expertise within the security domain, particularly in workload identity, cryptography, or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). You are considered a thought leader who can directly solve problems that most engineers cannot. - Connects security and business needs to define the guiding principles for the domain, and you effectively collaborate and influence cross-functionally to drive the adoption of those principles and your technical roadmaps. - Demonstrates excellent judgment in making complex trade-off decisions, distilling ambiguous problems into elegant, secure-by-default solutions. - A mentor and collaborator with a team-oriented mindset who tailors communication for a given audience. Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $530,000.00 - $920,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. • Configure, operate, and optimize sandbox environments • Analyze suspicious behavior of files, URLs, and applications • Define and fine-tune detection rules, policies, and parameters • Document technical findings and produce clear reports for the team • Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Product teams • Support incident investigations with sandbox-derived evidence • Recommend continuous improvements to analysis processes and tools
