About the Role The Senior Data Integration Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing data integration solutions to enhance system efficiency and accuracy. The role involves enterprise-level planning, coordinating interdependent activities across systems, and guiding senior stakeholders in evaluating options and impacts to support informed decision-making. Responsibilities - Defining and governing data mapping standards, including field-level definitions, transformations, validation rules, and reconciliation requirements. - Documenting and maintaining end-to-end data flows and lineage across integrated systems to support traceability, auditability, and operational support. - Translating business and data strategy into implementation-ready requirements and delivery artifacts (e.g., functional requirements, user stories, data specifications). - Partnering with technical teams to align integration patterns, delivery approach, and milestones to ensure scalable and repeatable solutions. - Ensuring secure data exchange practices are understood and followed, including requirements for file transfer mechanisms and access controls. Identifying data risks early and works with stakeholders to define mitigation strategies throughout the integration lifecycle - Collaborating cross-functionally with business, IT, and compliance teams to ensure data integration solutions adhere to governance, privacy, and regulatory standards. Driving data quality outcomes by defining acceptance criteria, validation rationale, reconciliation processes, and defect remediation approaches. - Establishing operational readiness for file feeds and integrations, including cutover planning, support models, runbooks, and escalation paths. Defining monitoring and alerting expectations for inbound and outbound file feeds to proactively identify and resolve failures or delays. - Leading complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis efforts across teams, driving corrective and preventive actions. Analyzing recurring issues and trends to recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities for integration processes. - Providing leadership, coordination, and oversight into the work of other business analysts on large or complex initiatives. Mentoring junior and mid-level business analysts on integration concepts, analysis techniques, tools, and documentation standards - Contributing to the evolution of business analysis and data integration best practices, templates, and standards across the organization. Requirements - 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, focused on data integration and ETL processes. - Have completed a bachelor’s program in a technical discipline or have relevant work experience. - Have extensive experience leading complex, cross-system data integration initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies. - Demonstrate proven ability to operate as a senior advisor, influencing scope, approach, and outcomes at both program and leadership levels. - Display advanced proficiency in SQL and data analysis to validate transformations, identify discrepancies, and support reconciliation and defect analysis. - Have dynamic understanding of ETL, file-based integrations, and related tools, with the ability to collaborate deeply with engineering teams. - Demonstrate working knowledge of data governance concepts, including data quality, metadata, lineage, and documentation standards. - Be an expert in producing high-quality, clear, and actionable delivery artifacts (e.g., requirements, specifications, process and data flow diagrams). - Possess compelling facilitation and communication skills to lead workshops, drive alignment, and resolve ambiguity among diverse stakeholder groups.
