Role Description The Student Conservation Association seeks a Partnership Manager to support the organization’s mission by cultivating, managing, and expanding a portfolio of partnerships across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. This position focuses on business development execution, relationship management, and supporting regional revenue generation under the guidance of the Regional Partnership Director – Eastern and Central U.S. Special emphasis will be placed on business development within the greater Houston metro area and across the state of Texas where SCA maintains a robust suite of programming and partnerships. Job Responsibilities - Business Development and Portfolio Management - Manage an assigned portfolio of partners across designated Eastern and Central states to reach specific revenue targets for the organization, with a special emphasis on Texas and the greater Houston area. - Conduct outreach to federal, state, municipal, nonprofit, and tribal entities to identify new partnership and funding opportunities for placing SCA programs including interns, young adult corps teams, and youth crews. - Support organization-wide and regional revenue goals by preparing proposals, scopes of work, and partnership materials. - Assist in writing grant proposals in collaboration with partnership, program, and philanthropic staff. - Track and maintain accurate partnership pipeline information using Salesforce and internal systems with the goal of meeting revenue targets. - Serve as a frontline SCA point of contact for assigned partners and prospects. - Regional Strategy Execution - Implement partnership strategies developed by leadership. - Gather data, identify trends, and flag challenges and opportunities. - Support development of outreach materials and partner resources. - Assist with producing reports, one-pagers, and presentations. - Partner Communications and Outreach - Represent SCA at select conferences, events, meetings, and site visits (approximately 15-20% of this job will involve travel). - Draft partner communications and summary reports. - Support response efforts when incidents affect partnerships. - Internal Collaboration - Collaborate with Program staff on project scopes, timelines, and budgets. - Coordinate across departments to ensure alignment of deliverables. - Participate in regular internal and cross-departmental team meetings and share insights and feedback. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in a related field. - 2-4 years of experience raising revenues and meeting specific fundraising targets for nonprofit organizations through public and private sector sources across the Eastern and Central United States. - Familiarity with federal cooperative grants and agreements and public land management agencies. - Knowledge of the Conservation Corps landscape and industry. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Experience engaging external stakeholders. - Exceptional customer service skills. Requirements - Grant writing and management experience. - Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools. - Ability to use Microsoft Co-pilot and other AI tools for increased productivity. - A strong understanding of environmental and conservation entities across Texas with special emphasis placed on the greater Houston metro area. - Fluency in Spanish. - Commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
