In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the core Chrome extension that powers the user experience of the 8Flow automation platform. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver highly polished, reliable, and secure extension features that integrate deeply with our AI-driven workflows. Responsibilities: - Build, maintain, and evolve our Chrome extension using the latest Chrome ExtensionManifest V3 standards. - Develop content scripts, background/service workers, and extension messaging flows. - Create clean, responsive UI components and interactions within the extension environment. - Integrate extension features with 8Flow’s automation engine, backend APIs, and AI capabilities. - Optimize performance, security, and cross-site compatibility across diverse webenvironments. - Troubleshoot extension issues including injection challenges, permissions, CORS, andDOM variability. - Ensure best practices for security, privacy, and extension store compliance. - Collaborate with product and design to rapidly ship user-centric features. - Contribute to internal documentation, code quality, and engineering best practices. Requirements: - Minimum 3 years of experience building Chrome extensions in production. - Deep expertise with Chrome Extension APIs, service workers, content scripts, message passing, and permissions. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. - Hands-on experience with frameworks such as React or similar UI libraries. - Solid understanding of browser security models, CORS, storage, and cross-origin communication. - Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling asynchronous data flows. - Strong debugging skills using Chrome DevTools and related instrumentation tools. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex browser behaviors.
