Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) is seeking talented engineers to design, construct, and maintain the world’s most capable submarines on behalf of the United States Navy. Our submarines must outperform our adversaries while surviving the most extreme environments on Earth. The Platform Systems Engineering department plays an important role in the development of a submarine by driving cross-discipline technical integration and optimization throughout the entire platform. The Platform Sytems Engineering and Integation department is looking for a Systems Engineer who will focus on understanding the operation of complex systems, identifying and preventing system failures, addressing operator needs, and ensuring that the overall system meets U.S. Navy requirements. Currently, the Platform Systems Engineering department is supporting a wide array of Programs, each in different phases of development, including but not limited to, the VIRGINIA Class Program, the COLUMBIA Class Program, the Subsea and Seabed Warfare Program, and future Class Blocks of Submarines. The Platform Systems Engineering department also supports platform payload integration efforts, as well as integrating Special Operations Forces into the platform.
