Job Description Eurofins Assurance US provides services including globally recognized, accredited auditing and certification; training; and consulting services - that are focused on process optimization, risk reduction, and compliance in the food, feed, agri, healthcare and consumer products sector. Assistant Controller responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial results and position across multiple business units in collaboration with the National Service Center finance team. - Prepare and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor key operational, client, and financial metrics. - Support development and consolidation of periodic forecasts. - Perform variance analysis and help develop actionable insights to improve performance. - Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes for accuracy and completeness. - Support management of transactional processing functions including A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, and general ledger maintenance and in relation with the business (account manager, program coordinator, etc…) - Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations and reporting. - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Knowledge Requirements: - Accounting and Financial Management – A solid working understanding of core accounting principles and financial measurement and management. - Analysis and Technology Tools – Advanced knowledge on analysis methods and applicable technology tools, including Excel and basic database applications to support business operations through financial and KPI measurement and management. - Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. - Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping, invoice management, project cost tracking, and weekly cashflow reporting. • Work directly with the CEO and CFO to maintain real-time accurate financial data across all projects. • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero (mandatory). • Receive invoices via a dedicated new company email address. • Enter invoices immediately and organise them by project. • Track accounts payable and receivable. • Process receipts, payments, reimbursements, and loan payments. • Reconcile bank and credit card statements weekly. • Assist with payroll preparation and expense management. • Prepare client invoices as needed. • Maintain organised digital filing of all financial documents. • Track and update weekly cashflow, including cash in, cash out, upcoming liabilities, and loan repayments. • Maintain live budgets for every project. • Track all spending per project and compare actual vs budget. • Record every cost item against the correct project code. • Provide weekly summaries showing total spent, total committed, remaining budget, and forecasted cost to complete. • Flag discrepancies or unusual spending. • Support preparation of project cost reports for management. • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports. • Compile cashflow reports for CEO/CFO. • Provide clear explanations for variances. • Support internal and external audit requirements.

• Own workforce planning and FTE steering, including forecasting, tracking, and alignment with business and financial targets • Own and drive planning, forecasting, and active budget steering of HR initiatives and investments • Analyze monthly results, identify deviations and financial risks, and drive concrete corrective actions • Steer cost efficiency and savings initiatives in close alignment with Leadership and Project Leads • Act as key interface between HR and Finance, challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment of workforce and financial planning • Prepare decision-ready insights, recommendations, and steering options for senior leadership • Ensure accurate closing activities (accruals, provisions) in line with corporate standards • Improve transparency through dashboards, FTE KPIs, and structured reporting • Support selected organizational development and transformation initiatives with structured planning, budget transparency, and implementation tracking • Contribute to the preparation and orchestration of key leadership and people development formats (e.g., strategy workshops, learning events, kick offs)
