Job Summary and Responsibilities Job Summary / PurposeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Financials Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a critical role in optimizing our enterprise Workday ERP system. This individual will leverage deep expertise in financial and business processes to drive the configuration, ongoing maintenance, and strategic enhancement of Workday Financials. Key contributions include developing sophisticated custom reports and dashboards (including Workday Report Writer and Prism Analytics) to provide actionable financial and operational insights, leading comprehensive system upgrades, and delivering high-level (Tier 2/3) support and training to end-users. The SME will be instrumental in collaborating with Finance and IT to ensure data integrity, streamline workflows, and continuously improve financial processes across the organization. Essential Functions - Serve as a key subject matter expert (SME) in the Workday ERP implementation/ongoing support, specializing in financial and business processes. - Configure and maintain Workday Financials and related modules to meet the organization's business requirements. - Manage ongoing system maintenance, including researching, testing, and deploying Workday biannual upgrades and new feature releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. - Design, develop, and maintain complex custom reports, dashboards, and financial statements within Workday (including Workday Report Writer and Prism Analytics) to provide actionable financial and operational insights. - Collaborate with Finance, IT, and other business partners to analyze business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and provide Tier 2/3 support and training for end-users on Workday functionality. - Drive continuous improvement of financial processes by leveraging Workday capabilities, streamlining workflows, and ensuring data integrity across the system. - Lead system testing efforts for new configurations, integrations, and upgrades, including creating test scripts, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing issue resolution. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.4-6 years - Experience as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst with hands-on experience in the configuration, management, and support of a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system 1-3 years - Workday Experience is Required: Strong, demonstrable experience with Workday Financials or other core Workday modules, including configuration, security, and reporting. Preferred - Experience with Workday Report Writer, calculated fields, and Workday Prism Analytics is highly desired. High level of technical understanding and proficiency in SQL, Oracle, SAS, MS Access, MS Visual Basic, MS Excel, or other related applications.
