As a Mid-Level / Journeyman QA Engineer at J-Mack Technologies, you’ll be a quality champion across our teams—shaping testing strategy, elevating standards, and mentoring teammates. This role is ideal for an experienced QA professional who combines deep technical skill with a systems-level view of software quality. Automation experience is highly valued, though not a hard requirement. What You’ll Do - Lead the design and execution of comprehensive test strategies across workstreams and platforms - Author and own detailed test plans, test cases, and test data strategies aligned to complex user workflows and system architecture - Drive defect identification, documentation, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking through to closure - Serve as a QA thought leader in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, design reviews, and code reviews - Mentor and guide other QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality across the team - Evaluate and expand test automation frameworks and CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines (automation experience a plus) - Analyze user needs and target environments to ensure solutions align with current architecture and accessibility standards - Champion quality process improvements and introduce modern testing methodologies to drive efficiency and coverage - Engage with stakeholders to communicate quality status, risks, and recommendations clearly

• Instrumental in designing and implementing test automation for clients • Share knowledge and offer guidance in QA Automation / Test Automation • Define scope and functional areas of automated test scripts • Create traceability matrices, specify methods of testing, and identify testing tools • Responsible for scoping, implementing, and updating automation testing framework using Selenium Webdriver (Python) • Responsible for integration of automated framework with Test management and CI tools • Identify gaps in documentation and business requirements • Identify testable areas and perform development of test scripts • Work closely with project management and technology teams to define test scope and timelines • Outline scope of changes for automated tests based on application changes • Execute automated tests, review test execution results, and provide reports to stakeholders

• Embedded system testing (monitoring cameras) • iOS & Android app tests • Server testing (API + AWS serverless architecture + working with logs - AWS cloudwatch, loggly, embrace, etc) • ML detection testing (possible PR/RC model estimate/validate) • Covering regression + new feature testing for every release cycle (we release every week) • Updating test documentation according to code changes • Prepare QA reports • Tracking issues in Jira • Work with Jira metrics (number of resolved issues in the sprint, spent time, Jira release notes, etc)
