You’ll work within the Product Engineering department to build and improve our platform to deliver flexible and creative solutions to our utility partners and end users. This includes working closely with PMs on definition, prioritization, and overall project execution - Collaborate with key stakeholders – including Product Managers, Sales Engineers, Implementation Engineers, and Program/Project Managers - Work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team to plan and execute at high velocity, and across teams throughout the organization to reuse existing components and architect shared functionality - Experience with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C/C++, Objective C, Python, JavaScript) - Experience with cloud-based architectures, development, deployment, and deployment automation - You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to product managers, designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you - You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval - Experience in back-end development – you can understand and build flexible and scalable backend systems to meet the emerging needs of the business - Proven track record applying industry security best practices to application and system development - Excels in DevOps, engineers and automates CI/CD pipelines for seamless, independent deployments, advises in refactoring design to improve performance and deployment efficiency, drives devops best practices transforming manual processes into automated workflows - BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience Bonus points: - Previous energy industry experience - Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake, ETL and data pipelines - Experience with Enterprise IT systems and Electronic Data Interchange - Experience with cloud infrastructure automation such as Terraform, cloudformation or similar - Solid experience with setting up developer flow and developer experience with automation - You work on the command line confidently and are familiar with all the goodies that the linux toolkit can provide - You are a Git guru and revel in collaborative workflows - You have experience in public speaking events Don’t meet every single requirement?
