Coalition Programme Manager
Meliore Foundation
• You’ll be joining a global coalition of over 60 prominent climate groups - from activists to academics to advocates - working to undermine the social license and political influence of climate intensive industries. • You’ll report to the Chief Programme Development Officer of Meliore Foundation and oversee the coalition. Responsibilities will span areas like coalition support, member management, governance design, and expansion. • In this position, you will be responsible for facilitating the coalition, through driving collaboration, information sharing, and ambitious strategy-setting, that will help move the needle on climate progress. We are looking for someone with skills and passion for effective operations, stakeholder communication, project management, and creative problem solving - and who wants to put that to use in the fight against climate change.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing programs in the nonprofit, philanthropic, and/or coalitions.
- Experience in campaigns or strategic communications and in project management
- Experience in designing influence campaigns, in coordination with external partners, with a deep understanding of the environmental landscape.
- Experience in developing communication strategies.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex stakeholder relationships where competing agendas and priorities exist.
- Experience delivering communication and engagement as they apply to successful coalition coordination.
- High-level organisational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to think laterally and conceptually.
- Strong time and priority management, a high level of independence, and a can-do mentality.
- Strong project management and collaboration skills and an ability to build trust with colleagues and partners.
- The ability to develop, and track annual budgets and expenditures.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset.
- Nice to haves:
- Experience in grant writing and reporting, and fundraising activities.
- The desire and ability to bring innovative ideas to the table and engage in continuous improvement.
