• Month-End Close: Develop, maintain, and enforce a detailed Month-End Close Schedule, assigning specific tasks and deadlines to team members (AP, AR, Payroll, and Tax), while leading the close meetings. • General Ledger & Reconciliation: Prepare monthly close journal entries, GL account reconciliations as assigned, and foreign currency revaluations. • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare monthly consolidated and regional flux analyses, investigating drivers behind significant fluctuations to produce detailed reporting packages for leadership. • Process Optimization: Partner across departments to develop and refine accounting systems and workflows, focusing on simplifying existing processes and establishing clear accountability across all teams. • Audit Support: Assist with the fulfillment of annual audit requests by preparing supporting schedules, providing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely responses to auditor inquiries. • Payroll Accounting: Record monthly payroll journal entries and partner with the payroll team to analyze and document period-over-period variances in employee compensation and benefits. • Technical Accounting: Assist in drafting technical memos and formalizing standard operating procedures for key cycles, including revenue recognition and inventory management, to ensure US GAAP compliance and operational consistency.

• Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to our clients. • Demonstrate thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices. • Keep abreast of the latest developments in technologies to deliver outstanding quality service. • Oversee client onboarding process for all assigned client engagements in accordance with defined process. • Implement our technology toolbox as applicable on all client engagements to drive efficiency and client value. • Serve as a resource to all assigned team members for guidance on client tasks and/or resolution of client issues. • Monitor team member performance by reviewing quality of work, adherence to protocols, timeliness of deliverables and adherence to client budgets. Provide coaching and feedback as needed. • Build trusted advisor relationship with client executives by gaining an in-depth understanding of their business needs and objectives in order to proactively identify issues and provide solutions. • Support clients’ evolving requirements by educating executives on Supporting Strategies’ deep and varied expertise in accounting and operational services.

• Process and manage payroll accurately and on time. • Handle general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end close processes. • Assist with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair. Minimum Qualifications: Position requires Masters in Physics or related field, PHD preferred. Must have at least 18 graduate hours in Physics.
