We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced hands-on Manager Software Engineer to join our team. If you are passionate about software development and have a strong background in Java backends, Angular/React frontends, Cloud architecture, and Project leadership, this is the perfect opportunity. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments - Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field - At least 7 years of professional experience in Java and Spring backend development - At least 5 years of experience leading projects, including managing and coaching development teams, with hands‑on experience deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - At least 3 years of experience in frontend development with Angular/React - At least 3 years of experience working with AI or data science projects, interacting with AI models, and building vector search solutions in Elasticsearch It would be great if you also have . . . - Project architecture and resource management skills with a focus on quality assurance and cloud infrastructure costs - Ability to oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Knowledge of how to automate builds, tests and/or deployments. What will you be doing in this role? - Design, build and maintain various services and systems - Guide and support developers, and follow coding standards and best practices in engineering, security, and design - Resolve conflicts and remove team blockers - Creating a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement - Ensuring production stability and incident management - Regularly report to stakeholders and share project progress to ensure smooth collaboration and project development - Enjoys working with a diverse group of people with different expertise - Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end - Collaborate with solutions developed by our in-house Data Science Team - Takes pride in delivering products and likes to take ownership - Pay attention to details and develop a result-driven approach - Good written and verbal English communication skills About the Team / Product you will be developing Darts-ip/Clarivate is a leading Legal Tech company based in Belgium. Darts-ip's core mission is to make global Intellectual Property case law available and easily searchable for our customers through a SaaS application. Our global IT team is responsible for developing and maintaining this application and all associated services. Hours of Work This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in the CET time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
