Accounts Receivable Clerk

• Make outbound calls to remind clients of outstanding invoices • Send emails through the Salesforce platform to clients for invoicing, and late fees, and to remind them of payments • Create and send out invoices on the first business day of the month • Answer 15-20 inbound calls per day to assist clients with billing inquiries • Respond to client’s email billing inquiries • Close cases assigned to the Finance Department • Process automatic payments for clients through Stripe • Manage the process to send a delinquent client to a collection agency • Scan checks and apply them to appropriate accounts in Salesforce • Monitor inbound ACHs and apply the amounts to the correct accounts in Salesforce • Close delinquent client’s portal access and reopen the portal once outstanding invoices are paid • Handle the deposits from clients through checks, ACHs, and running automatic payments • Encourage a direct and positive relationship between the community and the company.
Job Requirements
- Experience in a Finance or Billing Department preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM preferred
- Working knowledge of G-Suite and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance;
- Quickly learn new software and use systems accurately and a natural problem solver and are focused on creating solutions;
- You work well independently but understand the importance of teamwork;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively facilitate and adjust communication styles to the audience.
- Ability to be held accountable to the department and organizational numbers, data, and deadlines;
- Ability to quickly pivot, be process-oriented, with high attention to detail;
- Demonstrate and promote non-negotiable integrity and dignity of the individual in an environment of mutual trust and respect;

The successful applicant will be working in the Working Capital group along with a team of highly motivated individuals who are engaged in continuous improvement. This position will be based in our Ottawa office with the option to work remotely out of their home. This is a 6-month contract position.
