• Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. • Monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and highlighting any discrepancies or areas of concern to senior management. • Supporting the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by gathering data and preparing reports. • Analyzing financial data and preparing reports on key financial metrics, such as profitability, revenue growth, and cash flow. • Assisting with the preparation of financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making. • Coordinating with other departments within the organization to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of financial data. • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns, financial audits, and other regulatory filings. • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Participating in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the finance team and the organization as a whole.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as accounting, finance, or auditing.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Experience with financial software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Strong foundation in accounting and financial principles, as well as a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
