Sales Manager, Phosphates & Specialty Ingredients Food and Petfood

Role Description We are seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to drive growth of our phosphate and complementary ingredient lines in the pet food and food sectors. This fully remote role will own the end-to-end sales cycle—from lead generation and product specification to commercial close—for key verticals including meat processing, spice blending, baking, and potato industries. You will serve as the technical face of our business, translating ingredient science into clear value propositions that address customer challenges. - Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy for specialty food ingredients across Poland and neighbouring countries. - Identify and qualify new prospects within pet food manufacturers and human food processors, building a robust pipeline. - Deliver technical presentations and conduct on-site or virtual trials to demonstrate product performance. - Collaborate closely with R&D to adapt formulations, drive innovation, and support new product development. - Manage pricing negotiations, contract proposals, and order forecasting to achieve or exceed sales targets. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, and translate insights into actionable plans. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science or Master Butcher or related discipline. - Minimum of 5 years’ technical sales or application support experience in the food ingredients industry. - Demonstrated success selling functional ingredients (e.g. Phosphated, Hydrocolloids, Emulsifiers, Acids, Proteins, Fibres, Yeast). - Deep understanding of ingredient functionality in meat processing, spice formulation, baking, and potato applications. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage R&D, production, and procurement stakeholders. - Proven ability to manage a remote sales territory, including self-motivation, strong organization, and virtual collaboration. - Willingness to travel up to 30-40% for customer visits, industry events, and cross-functional meetings. - Fluency in German and English; additional language skills a plus.
