Role Description The position is responsible for translating the brand strategy for a branded pharmaceutical product approved for the treatment of heart failure related edema into operational learning plans across teams, launches, and capabilities. This role owns the design, development, and enterprise execution of the learning strategy (for both new and established sales teams) and is accountable for sustained performance/impact of the training program. This includes establishing/managing productive vendor relationships and taking ownership of the MLR approval process for all training materials and assets related to the brand. This position partners cross functionally with Commercial Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and Compliance to translate disease state, product, and health system strategy into field ready learning experiences that ensures field teams are confident, clinically fluent, compliant, and effective in navigating/achieving goals in complex health system and IDN environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Training Strategy & Curriculum Development: - Design and maintain end‑to‑end learning curricula for disease state (heart failure and edema), product knowledge, and customer engagement within health systems and IDNs. - Translate brand strategy, clinical data, and access considerations into clear, practical training content for field teams. - Develop training materials across modalities, including live workshops, virtual instructor‑led training, e‑learning, simulations, and field reinforcement tools. - Take ownership of the MLR process of materials and assets to ensure all training content is accurate, balanced, and aligned with FDA‑approved labeling and internal compliance standards. - Disease State & Clinical Education: - Build training that strengthens field understanding of heart failure pathophysiology and edema management. - Patient journeys across inpatient, outpatient, and post‑acute settings. - Care team roles (cardiology, hospitalists, nephrology, nursing, pharmacy). - Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure appropriate scientific rigor and compliance. - Health Systems & IDN Enablement: - Develop and deliver training focused on health system and IDN structures, decision‑making, and care pathways. - Account‑based engagement and cross‑functional collaboration. - Value‑based care considerations and system‑level priorities. - Equip field teams to navigate complex stakeholder environments while remaining compliant. - Training Delivery & Facilitation: - Facilitate engaging, adult‑learning–based training sessions (live and virtual) for new hires, ongoing development, and launch initiatives. - Lead Train‑the‑Trainer sessions and support FSTs or sales leadership as needed. - Provide coaching and feedback during training sessions to reinforce skill application. - Measurement & Continuous Improvement: - Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative measures. - Incorporate feedback from field teams and stakeholders to continuously improve training impact. - Maintain training documentation and records in alignment with audit and compliance requirements. - Monitor the expiration of all training materials (including NHT) to ensure that all content is on label, MLR approved, and up to date. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Effectively collaborate and maintain positive relationships with all functional areas and stakeholders to drive alignment, consistency, and performance. - Support Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review processes for all training materials. - Serve as a trusted learning advisor for heart failure and health‑system engagement topics. - Live the Esperion Core Values of Collaboration, Patients, People, Passion, Integrity, and Accountability on a daily basis. Qualifications - Required: - Bachelors’ degree. - 8+ years of pharmaceutical sales and/or commercial roles. - Demonstrated success working in complex health‑systems and IDN customers. - Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training ideally for complex customer environments (e.g., health systems, IDNs). - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. - Strong planning and organization skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and on budget. - ~25% domestic travel required. - Preferred: - Deep expertise in heart failure disease state and experience supporting cardiovascular or related therapeutic areas. - Advanced facilitation skills and expertise in adult learning principles. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. - Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and productively partner with individuals at all levels across a matrix organization. - Demonstrated agility to quickly learn new products & markets and develop innovative L&D approaches. - CPLP Certification a plus. - Experience with LMS and e-based learning applications.
