We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to work with Wonolo’s Finance team in day-to-day functions. You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Finance team. You will collaborate cross-functionally with different teams throughout the organization, provide critical accounting support, and work to enhance operational efficiency. What you'll do: - Own day-to-day accounting operations across US and Canada entities, including payroll, A/P, A/R, prepaids, and general ledger activities - Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and reconciliations - Manage general ledger consolidation and partner with FP&A on variance analysis, management reporting, and GAAP reporting - Oversee accounting and payroll workflows to ensure accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery of key deliverables - Evaluate and strengthen accounting and payroll processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and scalability - Prepare and document accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal memos in accordance with GAAP - Partner cross-functionally with department leads to support financial decision-making, address process gaps, and drive operational improvements - Collaborate with external auditors and third-party partners to support audits and ensure compliance - Support company-wide initiatives and projects with financial impact, providing guidance and insight as needed Who you are: - 5+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and close processes - Strong attention to detail with an analytical, problem-solving mindset - Experience with ERP systems and third-party tools; NetSuite experience is a plus - Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, arrays) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams - Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage shifting priorities - Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering accurate, timely results - Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on building scalable processes If you have read up to this point, we hope you are excited about this opportunity to work at Wonolo!
