HQR is looking for a Project Manager to join the Team! HQR Our team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. At Bellese, we’re relentlessly focused on enabling and empowering providers to focus on improving the quality and safety of patient care. Position Summary The Project Manager supports delivery and operational coordination for large technical programs. The role partners closely with a hands-on Program Director who oversees contract execution and program delivery. The Project Manager helps maintain delivery structure, program visibility, and operational discipline across multiple teams. You coordinate cross-functional work across engineering, product, and human centered design teams. You manage schedules, track risks, maintain program documentation, and support stakeholder communication. The role helps ensure delivery meets program timelines, contractual commitments, and quality standards. This position requires strong organization, communication, and execution skills. The Project Manager acts as a central coordination point across teams while supporting the Program Director in day-to-day program operations. Key Responsibilities - Support program planning activities including scope definition, scheduling, and milestone tracking. - Track project progress and maintain visibility into risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines. - Identify delivery risks, operational blockers, and cross-team dependencies and support resolution. - Maintain program documentation including project plans, delivery plans, risk logs, and status reports. - Prepare delivery updates and program status reports for leadership and stakeholders. - Support resource planning and capacity tracking across teams. - Assist with budget tracking and financial coordination activities. - Facilitate working sessions including planning meetings, delivery reviews, and cross-team coordination meetings. - Support onsite team events, workshops, and program meetings when needed. - Support operational improvements to strengthen delivery visibility and coordination. - Help improve program workflows, documentation practices, and cross-team collaboration. Required Qualifications - 3+ years of project management experience in technical or software delivery environments. - Experience supporting complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders. - Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. - Experience managing schedules, risks, and dependencies across multiple teams. - Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
