• Own intercompany accounting processes, including cost sharing, management fees, intercompany debt, and interest calculations. • Manage consolidation and elimination processes across all legal entities. • Partner with Treasury to ensure alignment between accounting records and intercompany cash activity. • Manage the general ledger, including chart of accounts governance, account structure, and ongoing GL maintenance, under the direction of the Corporate Controller & VP of Accounting. • Support and co-lead the monthly close process across all entities, ensuring adherence to close timelines and accuracy of reported results. • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account analyses, with a focus on intercompany activity and complex accounting areas. • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including eliminations, supporting schedules, and supporting commentary. • Ensure completeness and accuracy of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts. • Oversee preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. • Maintain and enhance documentation, controls, and audit trails. • Design, document, and implement scalable accounting processes aligned with Company SOPs. • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Treasury to establish clear ownership and accountability across workflows. • Continuously evaluate and improve close efficiency, intercompany frameworks, and reporting outputs. • Serve as a key liaison for external auditors and during quarterly and annual processes. • Prepare supporting schedules, analyses, and financial commentary. • Ensure compliance with lender and shareholder reporting requirements, including the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, and support monitoring and adherence to debt. covenant compliance through analysis and documentation. • Provide support and training to accounting peers and other team leaders. • Perform complex accounting analyses, including enhancements to consolidation and reporting frameworks. • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business or accounting, CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a combination of public and corporate accounting experience preferred.
- 3+ years of direct experience in intercompany accounting, eliminations, and consolidations
- Manufacturing and/or Retail industry experience highly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong experience in intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations, with exposure to many other areas of accounting including but not limited to inventory valuations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash/revenue, fixed assets, and accruals.
- Understanding the principles of vertically integrated inventory manufacturing and retail sales processes, and public company audit compliance.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Self-starter that places an emphasis on accuracy, completeness, and work product ownership, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with competing deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and displays good judgement.

About the Role CloudFactory is looking for an Assistant Controller who thrives on making the complex simple. This is a hands-on leadership role at the center of a five-entity international group spanning the US, UK, Germany, Nepal, and Kenya. You will own the global close, drive consolidation reporting under IFRS, and lead a talented, distributed accounting team — all while pushing the function forward through automation, AI-enabled workflows, and smarter use of NetSuite. This is not a role for someone who just wants to close the books. We want someone who connects the dots across entities and business lines — someone who sees a reconciliation break and asks why, not just where. We want someone who leans into automation and AI to eliminate complexity and manual processes. You will report to the Group Financial Controller and work closely with the CFO in a private equity-backed environment where pace, rigor, and accountability are the norm. What You Will Own Global Close & Consolidation • Lead the Accounting department at CloudFactory with day-to-day accounting, along with periodic closing, reconciliation, and statutory filing. This role will be responsible for books for the USA, UK, Germany, and coordinate with the accounting team in Nepal and Kenya to deliver timely and accurate financial reports. • Full ownership of the consolidated P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis. Manage intercompany eliminations and multi-currency consolidation, including FX translation, remeasurement, and their impact on financial reporting • Ensure consolidated reporting is delivered accurately and on time to senior leadership Financial Reporting & Accuracy • Deliver timely, precise financial reporting under IFRS with a commitment to the highest standards of accuracy • Prepare and present variance analysis, trends, and business insights to leadership • Assist in tax preparation across jurisdictions, including VAT filings and HMRC communications in the UK, coordinating with external tax advisors • Support annual group audit coordination with local teams in Germany, Nepal, and Kenya; serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors Distributed Team Leadership • Supervise and mentor a global team of approximately 8 across AP, AR, and general accounting in multiple countries • Set clear priorities, coach remotely, and build accountability across time zones and cultures (some travel may be necessary) • Develop team members through structured goal-setting, feedback, and professional development NetSuite Optimization & AI-Forward Workflows • Act as the finance team’s NetSuite power user — identify improvement opportunities, build automation, streamline workflows, and eliminate manual effort • Champion AI tools, automation, and advanced workflows to reduce complexity, minimize repetitive tasks, and free the team to focus on value-added analysis and insight • Drive process transformation: build simple, scalable, and effective financial processes from the ground up Payroll & Treasury • Coordinate US payroll (Rippling) and UK payroll (Payfit) processing with internal and external stakeholders • Support cash forecasting, manage banking relationships, and ensure liquidity visibility across offices
