About the role: Amber is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team. You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, and you will be involved in various stages of the game development lifecycle, ensuring the production of a high-quality game. You will collaborate with development teams in several locations but will primarily work with a development teams located in Montreal, Mexico, and Romania. The Quest: - Interface with other engineers and project stakeholders to establish a development roadmap for both frontend and backend development. - Be accountable for project-wide engineering task estimations and work with the production team to address changes in planning, project scope, etc. - Participate in customer-facing meetings to gather technical requirements and details. - Evaluate technical documentation or software. - Develop technical proposals, including task breakdown, and delivery timeline. - Review and provide guidance on engineering architecture. - Develop core features/components. - Debug code and perform bug fixes to ensure high-quality and stable software. - Oversee backend development and guide backend team on functional requirements and integrations between frontend and backend functionality. - Coordinate production pipeline requirements and tasks with internal and external CI/CD and QA teams. - Review and support project performance monitoring and improvement. The Skills: - 7+ years of experience in the creation and delivery of Game/Engine Technology and games - You'll need to understand the high-level basics of online architecture and integration with frontend. - Solid technical knowledge across multiple areas, most importantly implementing games using Unreal. - Experience with using generative AI for conversational games, mainly using with In-World API and agents but Bedrock or similar tools. - Expert knowledge of C++, good knowledge of C# and engine-level AI tools within Unreal Engine. Knowledge in Character and animations setup, including real-time Lip-sync solutions and Metahuman - General LLM knowledge - LLM text analysis and response generation, Text-to-speech output using a voice clone, Guardrails filtering, speech recognition by using Whisper or other similar LLMs - Excellent soft skills and communication abilities, both verbal and written. - Strong proficiency in English. - Experience in developing technical architecture and implementing design principles and patterns. - Experience interfacing with and guiding frontend and backend teams in producing gameplay features. - Experience using Jenkins or other CI/CD toolchains. - Experience using Perforce. Nice to have: - Online development expertise (preferably using GCP or AWS). - Strong debugging experience using Unreal profiling tools. - Knowledge about Proton. ABOUT THE ROLE Join us as a Game Artist and bring visually stunning Live Casino experiences to life. You will craft dynamic VFX, animations, and game assets that captivate players and define the look and feel of our products. This is a high-impact role where creativity meets technology, giving you the opportunity to push visual quality, influence artistic direction, and shape next-generation gaming experiences. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Execute a wide range of visual effects styles — from hyper-realistic to highly stylized — ensuring alignment with the game’s artistic direction. - Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Artists, Designers, Programmers, Animation teams, and Producers to deliver high-quality VFX that enhance gameplay and player engagement. - Align on priorities, feedback, and creative direction to meet both artistic and technical goals. - Organize, maintain, and optimize project assets within production tools and server structures to ensure efficient workflows. - Create clear and compelling static and animated concepts to guide production teams. - Design, produce, and animate high-quality 2D and 3D assets, including environments, props, and particle effects (2D/3D systems) - Work with tools such as 3ds Max (Corona Render), Blender, and After Effects, ensuring assets are optimized for performance and visual fidelity. - Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines. - Work confidently within a Windows-based production environment. - Demonstrate strong ownership, self-motivation, and adaptability, while maintaining high artistic standards. - Continuously develop technical and creative skills by exploring new tools, pipelines, and workflows. WHAT WE ASK OF YOU - 3+ years of professional experience in VFX, Game Art, or a similar role (iGaming experience is a strong advantage). - Proven experience working on creative projects within cross-functional teams. - Proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D tools such as Blender, 3ds Max, Corona Renderer, Houdini, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Media Encoder. - Basic knowledge of 3ds Max. - Strong understanding of animation principles and motion graphics. - Solid knowledge of lighting, rendering, shaders, and material development. - Good understanding of character and hard-surface animation. - Experience creating high-quality 2D/3D assets, environments, and visual effects. - Understanding of file export formats (e.g., MOV, MP4, TARGA, PNG sequences, output channels). - Knowledge of frame rates across film, animation, and game engines. - Familiarity with post-production processes. - Professional proficiency in spoken and written English (fluency is required, as the company is international and daily communication in English with colleagues is essential). - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a ever-evolving environment. - Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of deliverables. - Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail. - Excellent communication and time management skills. - High level of professionalism, reliability, and discretion. - Creative mindset with a strong sense of aesthetics and design principles. - Interest in new technologies and ability to approach complex challenges with innovative solutions. - Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously improve.
