Inside Sales
CDM Smith
• Process priority inside‑sales transactions for customers generating under $50,000 in annual sales, ensuring speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction • Qualify inbound leads and convert them into viable sales opportunities • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for continued development and closure • Partner with the Distribution Manager and channel partners to coordinate trials for new customer leads and prospects • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer interaction records, sales activities, and transactions in CRM systems • Work cross‑functionally with logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure timely deliveries and resolution of customer issues • Prepare and distribute sales performance metrics, forecasts, and reporting dashboards • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional and timely manner • Support lead generation and qualification efforts through research and outbound outreach • Maintain product catalogs, pricing sheets, and promotional materials • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain teams to meet customer demand • Provide administrative support for sales meetings, presentations, and internal or external events
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities, with the capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced setting
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
