Project Coordinator

• Develop and manage user stories, tickets, and backlog items in coordination with technical teams • Track project progress and ensure adherence to deliverable timelines • Coordinate daily activities across team members to maintain alignment and momentum • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and leadership • Monitor task completion and proactively identify and mitigate risks or delays • Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes and status reports • Ensure clarity and completeness of requirements and acceptance criteria • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, agile support, or similar role
- Experience writing user stories, tickets, and managing backlogs (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical terminology
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with federal project environments or compliance requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with project tracking and reporting tools

This role ensures successful integration, adoption, and compliance of automation systems within FAA operations. This position is hybrid and based on customer needs, the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered. T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs, and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. What You'll Be Doing: - Manage planning and execution of automation software projects, from development to operational transition. - Build and oversee project plans, budgets, milestones, and risk management approaches. - Coordinate integration, testing, training, and deployment activities. - Serve as the primary FAA interface for software implementation readiness. - Lead change management and communications to support user adoption. - Track progress, resolve issues, and provide status updates to leadership and FAA stakeholders. What Required Skills You'll Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 10+ years managing software implementation projects in large, mission-critical environments. - Proven experience with automation systems and systems integration. - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. - PMP or PgMP certification - Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
