This role supports system design, configuration, implementation, and optimization to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, and a high-quality user experience. The analyst develops process documentation, testing criteria, project plans, and provides ongoing support to end users across the organization. Essential Job Duties: System Configuration and Support - Configure business processes, security, dashboards, reports, calculated fields, and EIBs. - Document workflows and create user friendly procedures. - Provide training, guidance, and support to end users. - Perform data analysis to support decision making. - Manage change communications, test system changes, and maintain documentation. - Collaborate with teams and vendors; communicate system updates. - Support business continuity and validate system integrity after downtimes. Problem Solving - Troubleshoot complex Workday issues; perform root cause analysis. - Maintain data integrity through audits and governance practices. - Mentor junior analysts. - Prioritize requests based on operational and regulatory needs. - Track, escalate, and coordinate issue resolution with IT and vendors. - Meet on call expectations and SLAs. Professional Performance - Provide team support and mentorship. - Maintain certifications and apply new knowledge. - Ensure accurate, timely communication and reduce duplicative work. - Identify system efficiencies and improvement opportunities. - Stay current on industry and regulatory changes impacting systems. Integrated Application Management - Support Workday integrations (Studio, RaaS, etc.). - Ensure accurate role-based security and compliance with audit requirements. - Perform functional testing and assist with cross team collaboration. Project Management and Performance - Complete project tasks on schedule. - Support Workday releases, upgrades, and enhancements. - Assist with needs assessment, solution evaluation, demos, and testing. - Maintain required project and testing documentation. Other Duties - Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent extensive work experience in managing Enterprise resource Management systems (Workday) Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business or systems analysis or similar degree with emphasis on data/information analysis (Workday) Experience: Required: 3 years' Workday, with proven expertise in planning, configuring, deploying Workday HCM with a thorough understanding of database construction and system integrations. Preferred: 3-5+ years' Workday Configuration. Healthcare experience Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Complete education and pass certification in primary Workday application module(s) within 120 days of completed education and maintaining certification(s) as required. Preferred: N/A Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and reporting tools 2. Department Overview The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enable OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions. The Epic Healthy Planet Population Health Build Analyst plays a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing Epic's Healthy Planet module to support organizational population health strategies and value-based care initiatives. This position collaborates with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to configure solutions in Epic, integrate actionable data, and enable care teams to improve outcomes across patient populations. Function/Duties of Position System Build and Maintenance - Facilitate customer requests for new or changed solutions. Develop options with recommendations, create functional specifications including performance requirements, create and execute test plans to confirm delivered functionality. - Ensure data integrity and validity of the Epic application. - Define system standards to be followed by other analysts such as database record numbering and naming conventions, technical documentation and specifications, technical build migration to production system. - Analyze Epic functionality to simplify processes, improve the flow of data, and make use of enhancements. - Design and build customized functionality based on workflow recommendations. - Perform Epic Ambulatory, Cheers, and Healthy Planet build and maintenance as assigned per the OHSU Population Health Distribution Matrix. - Develop test plans/documentation, conduct testing and validation as appropriate. - Perform assessment and testing; write documentation in preparation for system upgrades. Project Management: - Assume project management responsibilities for medium to large projects. - Follow all Project Management standard processes. - Complete all standard Project Management documentation. - Communicate status, progress, issues and roadblocks to project sponsors and managers as appropriate. - Ensure that all components of a project plan are completed including design, build, testing, validation, training, and communication. Problem Resolution - Respond to customer problems and issues, either by Support Desk referrals or direct customer contact. - Communicate problem progress, resolution, and document in Jira as appropriate. - Analyze problems to determine if it is necessary to resolve, if needed, escalate it to Epic TS. - Manage assigned Jira tickets to ensure resolution or closure of tickets in a timely manner. - Communicate with Epic TS on the prioritization of issues to meet OHSU needs. Epic Certification and Professional Development - Achieve and maintain EpicCare Ambulatory or Healthy Planet Certification.
