About the role - We are seeking an experienced Control Account Manager (CAM) to lead cost, schedule, and technical performance within assigned control accounts on complex, mission-critical programs. - This role is responsible for owning the full lifecycle of control account performance, including baseline planning, execution tracking, forecasting, and variance management. You will serve as the primary point of accountability for program performance within your scope and work directly with Program Management, Program Scheduling, and Program Controls to ensure alignment between plan and execution. What you'll do - Own control account scope, budget, and schedule performance from baseline through execution - Develop and maintain time-phased budgets and resource plans aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) - Ensure alignment between cost and schedule, including proper mapping of work scope, milestones, and resource loading - Partner closely with Program Scheduling to maintain logic integrity, validate status, and ensure schedule reflects execution reality - Ensure accurate Earned Value Management (EVM) performance, including BCWS, BCWP, and ACWP integrity - Develop, maintain, and defend Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC) - Perform variance analysis (cost and schedule) and clearly articulate root causes, impacts, and corrective actions - Lead monthly control account reviews and support program-level financial and performance reporting - Partner with Program Controls to ensure data accuracy within systems such as Deltek Cobra - Support baseline change control, including development and justification of Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) - Identify risks and opportunities within control accounts and drive mitigation strategies - Support EVMS compliance activities, including DCMA surveillance, IBRs, and DCAA audits Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in program controls, engineering, program management, or related roles with direct CAM responsibility - Demonstrated experience managing control accounts within an EVMS environment - Strong understanding of EVM principles and ANSI/EIA-748 guidelines - Experience working within integrated cost and schedule environments (IMS-driven programs) - Proven experience developing and defending EACs/ETCs at the control account or program level - Ability to translate technical execution and schedule status into financial performance and forecasts - Experience working with Deltek Cobra and collaborating with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 - Strong communication skills and ability to interface with program leadership, schedulers, and customers - High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail - Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs - Background in engineering, program management, or technical execution roles - Experience supporting DCMA or DCAA audits and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) - Familiarity with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint - Active or eligible for a U.S. security clearance
