About the Role We’re looking for a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Principal DevSecOps Engineer. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of secure, compliant multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. You will be responsible for embedding security best practices into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring high availability and compliance standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting a financial platform with significant transaction volume and strict security requirements. What You’ll Do - Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of secure multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP with Kubernetes environments - Architect and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code patterns with embedded security controls and compliance guardrails - Own and drive enterprise DevSecOps strategy including CI/CD pipeline security and automated scanning practices - Build and manage compliant multi-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and security policies - Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows - Design and implement observability and security monitoring architecture - Perform threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments - Support PCI DSS compliance and evidence reporting - Support SOC 2 compliance and evidence reporting Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, or security engineering roles with at least 6+ years focused on DevSecOps - Deep expertise in AWS and GCP including IAM, networking, encryption, and security tooling - Expert-level proficiency with Kubernetes including cluster hardening and security-focused configurations - Advanced proficiency with Terraform including secure infrastructure-as-code practices - Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and GCP project structures - Familiarity with service mesh technologies and policy enforcement frameworks Preferred Qualifications - Education: College/University degree preferred - Active certifications such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CKS, or CCSP - Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS or SOC 2 - Prior experience in regulated industries such as fintech, payments, healthcare, or enterprise SaaS - Experience contributing to open-source DevSecOps tools or thought leadership in cloud security Location Remote US The hiring base salary range for this position is $190,000 USD annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT Moss’s Associate SME, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), will be responsible for overseeing both internal and external consultant engineering services as it relates to the design, integration, and performance of Battery Energy Storage Systems for our Utility Scale Solar and stand-alone BESS projects. The Associate SME, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), is a subject matter expert role supporting estimating, engineering management, and operations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead the BESS engineering effort to increase the safety, throughput, quality, and reliability of our energy storage systems in support of our clients and internal business partners. - Manage technical QA/QC of conceptual BESS system designs from our engineer of record through our engineering management team. - Work with the Engineering management team to develop QA/QC checklists and drawing review processes specific to BESS integration. - Review engineering and capital cost estimates for assigned BESS-related projects to support Estimating and Early-Stage teams. - Review client BESS scope of work documents and exhibits to determine feasibility and whether the requested work was included in the basis of bid documents. - Coordinate and review design documentation provided by the Engineer of Record (EOR) to ensure it is sufficient for construction and meets all contractual obligations. - Provide procurement support to ensure Moss provided battery storage equipment (modules, inverters, control systems) is sufficient for construction and meets all contractual obligations. - Develop, Own, and Maintain Moss-recommended implementation standards and guidelines for BESS design, safety, and integration for turnkey EPC projects. - Advise Moss on BESS safety requirements (NFPA 855, fire suppression) and best practices for system reliability and performance. - Develop and manage the implementation of new standards and new technology into Moss's standard best practices. - Provide internal BESS-focused training as required. - Work with the SME team to develop cross-functional impacts of BESS design, including integration with substation and SCADA systems.
