As the VP of Marketing at vCluster, you aren't just managing a brand; you are the architect of a new category in the AI infrastructure space. In this role, you will act as the primary storyteller and growth engine for the technology that is solving the Kubernetes bottleneck. You will have the unique opportunity to define how the world’s largest neoclouds, AI factories, and Enterprises use vCluster to create cutting-edge services while increasing our open source footprint and driving our growth. As the VP of Marketing, your role will include: - Category Creation: Establish vCluster as the de facto standard for running Kubernetes on AI infrastructure, moving the market away from inefficient and cumbersome legacy systems and homegrown solutions that don’t scale and are a nightmare to operate. - Growth Strategy: Drive more viral, product-led, and zero-touch adoption for our open source and free offerings, ensuring this groundswell momentum (40M+ downloads) ultimately translates into AI infra and enterprise opportunities. - Revenue Alignment: Partner closely with Sales and Product leadership to scale our ARR growth and support land and expand strategies. - Holistic Ownership: Connect daily marketing execution—from product marketing to demand gen—to the broader success of the company and our mission. - Disciplined Innovation: Lead the team to fearlessly tear down old marketing playbooks to build something better, while maintaining the discipline required for a brand that users trust for mission-critical infrastructure. This role could be a fit for you if you bring: - Experience: You have 10+ years of marketing leadership in the dev-tool or infrastructure space, with a proven track record of scaling startups through Series B and beyond. - Data Mastery: A track record of using quantifiable achievements—not just activities—to prove marketing ROI. - Strategic & Opinionated Mindset: You don't just follow trends; you have deep, experience-based perspectives on cloud-native dynamics and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. - The "Wow" Mentality: You measure success by the experience generated for both your internal team and our customers. You are a "supportive elevator" who drives your team to new heights. - Cognitive Flexibility: You view feedback as an "upgrade path" and are willing to abandon prior assumptions when presented with new evidence. - AI-Native Workflow: You naturally integrate AI tools to automate routine marketing tasks and brainstorm at scale, keeping our lean team punching above its weight class. Bonus points for: - Technical Depth: You can speak with authority on Kubernetes, GPUs, and the "hard multi-tenancy" use cases that define our competitive edge. - Community Roots: Experience growing large-scale open-source communities (CNCF experience is a major plus). - Idea Meritocracy: You thrive in environments where the best idea wins, regardless of who it came from. About vCluster Labs We are a venture-backed tech startup striving to be the leading force in enabling platform engineers. We raised +$30M from top-tier VCs such as Khosla Ventures (first investor in OpenAI, GitLab, Stripe, Doordash) and are in a hyper-growth phase looking for motivated people to complement our team. Our headquarters are in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower), but our team is distributed around the globe and we have a remote-first work culture. We're the company behind vCluster, an open-source technology for virtualizing Kubernetes (+10k GitHub stars). Open source is part of our DNA. The adoption of our commercial product based on vCluster has grown extremely fast (multi-million dollar revenue) and our customer base includes some of the biggest companies in the world, including 6 Global Fortune 500 companies as well as some of the fastest-growing tech unicorns. Benefits We offer the following benefits: - Competitive Salary: We offer a competitive compensation package, including equity. - Platinum-Level Insurance: Health, dental, vision, and life Insurance, including plans for you and eligible dependents (benefits vary depending on country). - Flexible Working Schedule: You have a doctor’s appointment or need to head to the supermarket to get groceries at 2pm? We won’t have an issue with that. To us, results matter more than clocking in and out at the same time every day. - Workplace Flexibility: We’re very flexible about where you work. We know things can change in life and we’re happy to adjust the work environment for you along the way. Culture & Values At vCluster Labs, we value and stand for: - Open Source, Open Mind: We are actively contributing to and maintaining open-source projects. Internally, we foster meritocracy — the strongest ideas win, no matter who or where they come from. - Build Tomorrow’s Standards, Intentionally: We don't just ship software; we define the state-of-the-art of tomorrow. We are fearless in tearing down old approaches to build something better, but we are disciplined in how we do it because we know our users rely on our technology to run mission-critical infrastructure platforms. - Create Wow: We measure success by the experience we generate, both inside and outside the company. For our customers, this means impressive speed and intuitive experiences. For our team, this means going the extra mile to support one another and to continuously drive each other to new heights. - Own the Outcome: We understand that our responsibility doesn't end when a task is checked off; it ends when the value is delivered. We connect our daily individual actions to the broader success of the company and our customers.
