• Researching for potential vendors • Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers • Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery • Maintaining effective and proper relations with suppliers or their representatives • Validation of documents necessary for the accounting processes • Reviewing the suppliers contracts, creation of the documents, coordination of the document workflow • Formalizing and accounting validation of documents • Entering documents into the purchasing system • Support for the preparation of closing month reports • Collaborating with stakeholders for process improvements

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a buyer role (or very relevant experience)
  • Prior Accounting or Finance experience preferred
  • Administration, accounting or economics degree
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, google apps)
  • Strong English skills in writing and speaking
  • Strong Slovak skills in writing and speaking
  • Experience in Slovak market direct/indirect purchases
  • Moderate knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Ability to communicate with internal/external stakeholders, contract reading and negotiation.
  • Engaged, quick learner with strong attention to detail, along with the ability to take initiative.

What you will do - Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior business stakeholders by delivering a high level of service, professionalism, and subject matter expertise. - Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with business unit priorities, enterprise objectives, and total cost of ownership considerations. - Analyze spend, research market trends, and develop long-term category strategies to support business goals. - Lead complex, high-value competitive sourcing processes end-to-end, including RFP, RFI, RFQ, and auction events as appropriate. - Lead complex negotiations for pricing, service level agreements, and contract terms to drive return on investment and total cost of ownership outcomes while managing risk. - Perform detailed financial, pricing, and business impact analyses. - Evaluate, select, and manage supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance. - Conduct ongoing supplier due diligence and risk assessments, including identifying and mitigating supply chain risks through contractual provisions. - Proactively manage contract renewals and supplier performance issues. - Champion vendor management best practices and governance standards. - Prepare and deliver reporting for senior management. - Collaborate with global affiliates and operate with a high degree of autonomy. - Play a leadership role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise-wide vendor management and governance frameworks.
