We have two types of positions currently open – Staff Accountants (Tax and Audit), and Bookkeepers. See the descriptions below. Accountants/Bookkeepers are a key part of the Client Accounting Services (CAS) team working with clients to provide support for bookkeeping, payroll, and QuickBooks always ensuring compliance with US GAAP and related tax rules and regulations. In particular, you will support: - Accounts receivable by establishing and monitoring client accounts, maintaining collections and aging reports, and reconciling client payments. - Accounts payable including scheduling and paying vendor invoices and monitoring vendor aging reports. - Tracking and managing all fixed assets for financial reporting purposes. - Developing compiled financial statements and sales tax reporting. - Assisting with banking, reconciliation, deposits, ledger entries, and office filing. - Processing payrolls including direct deposits and generating monthly/quarterly/year end statements. - Providing QuickBooks (QB) support and consulting including training clients on managing their records in QB on an as-needed basis. - Supporting client by providing catch up of the year's financial activity in order to produce tax return. - Actively pursuing self-development opportunities and continuing education to keep all professional certifications and knowledge of tax legislation current. - Assisting with other duties associated with a full service CPA firm as needed to support the team and our clients. What experience and skills do I need to be successful? We are always willing to train candidates in the earlier stages of their career or utilize the wealth of skills from a seasoned pro. Here are some skills we'd love to see on your resume: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred. - Experience in accounting is a plus, but not required. - Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bulgarian and English.
