Business Development Manager
Sunstone Credit
• Identify companies providing solar installation services to businesses and non-profits. • Present and integrate Sunstone's financing solutions into their sales processes. • Be a key point of contact for some of Sunstone's most important installer partners, helping them use our platform to its fullest extent and acting as a subject matter expert on solar and financing. • Identify opportunities for account expansion and increased product adoption, partnering closely with the entire account management to team to increase adoption of Sunstone's platform among solar installers. • Develop and drive Sunstone’s thought leadership—including webinars, best practices, and market insights—to deepen engagement with both new and existing partner contacts. • Create insights from a broader understanding of the solar industry and use them to assist Sunstone partners in the operation of their business.
Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a B2B customer facing role.
- Finance, banking or solar background strongly preferred.
- Driven, resilient and goal focused in everything you do.
- Unafraid to spend significant time building relationships, challenging conventional thinking and being judged by your results.
- Engaging, confident and energetic with the ability to create rapport and inspire action.
- Highly organized, responsive and committed to providing a good experience for partners while representing Sunstone.
- Strong written and communication skills. Able to convey professionalism, personality and brand identity via phone calls, emails and other digital mediums.
- Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work.
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree desired.

Working Conditions This position is regularly performed in an in-person or remote office environment, which means the physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards, with a moderate level of noise. Prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen with freedom of movement on a regular basis is expected. Minimal physical effort is required but could include: repetitive motion of wrists and fingers; talking and hearing; and handling of light materials and supplies. This position will require 60-75% of travel.
