We are looking for a Field CISO for Central EMEA with a primary focus on business and market development. This position will play a pivotal role in continuing to scale and grow our Central EMEA region as well as supporting and developing our Enterprise and Strategic customer growth. You will serve as a senior leader and trusted advisor within the Central EMEA Leadership Team. As well as business development, this role will focus on shaping the Central EMEA security agenda and driving business growth through deep strategic engagement. This is a customer-facing, strategic role that requires a strong blend of Cyber Security expertise and business acumen. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Rapid7 across Central EMEA, bridging Cyber strategy with business value to ensure our customers gain maximum impact from Rapid7's solutions. You will collaborate closely with sales, SE, customer success, product and our CISO teams, while directly contributing to the strategic direction of the region, reporting directly to the Senior Regional Director - Central EMEA. You will be an integral part of the Central EMEA leadership team. About the Team The region comprises our Go-to-Customer (GTC) organisation - approximately 60 people across Sales, Channel, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success and Marketing - and is a 100% channel-partner focused organisation that is a core driver of Rapid7's EMEA growth strategy. In addition to the GTC function, EMEA hosts one of Rapid7's largest technical and research hubs, which houses security research and engineering teams, global support functions and one of our EMEA Managed SOC operations, together forming a broader regional community of 600+ colleagues. This region combines strong go-to-market capability with deep technical delivery: local offices and hubs all over EMEA, support product engineering, security research and customer support, while Rapid7's Managed Detection & Response and managed SOC services provide 24/7 detection, investigation and response capabilities for enterprise customers across EMEA. The team operates in a hybrid working model and partners closely with global product and threat-research teams to deliver world-class detection, response and cloud security services. About the Role As a Field CISO, your primary responsibility will be to scale and grow business and market development across EMEA, collaborating across teams to drive revenue growth. Specifically, your focus will be to: - Act as Rapid7's senior cyber strategy ambassador, engaging with CxO-level stakeholders to shape security strategy, influence outcomes, and position Rapid7 as a trusted cybersecurity partner. - Deliver thought leadership, executive presentations, and innovation initiatives that drive adoption of emerging technologies and cutting-edge security methodologies. - You think big but act small, breaking down high-level regional growth strategies into actionable, time-bound milestones and pivoting quickly to ensure meaningful business outcomes. - In partnership with the Central EMEA Leadership Team, you'll define and execute regional strategy, aligning Rapid7's Command Platform to customer objectives, maximizing value across key accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. - You possess the ability to translate complex cybersecurity strategies into clear business value, influencing CxO-level stakeholders and winning over diverse audiences through authentic storytelling. - Collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Labs teams to guide market strategy, represent the voice of the customer, and mentor technical talent. - Lead complex pre-sales and channel engagements, drive partner enablement, and develop scalable security architecture patterns for enterprise customers. - Acting as a key presence in the EMEA cybersecurity community, you'll represent Rapid7 at industry events, build peer relationships with CISOs and CTOs, and stay ahead of emerging threats and trends to inform both customer strategy and Rapid7's roadmap. The skills and qualities you'll bring include: - Demonstrable Market Development experience in the Cyber Security sector. - Proven experience 4+ years in Cyber Security and 2+ years in a similar senior cybersecurity leadership, architecture, or advisory role, with Growth Accountability. - Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with a natural talent for public speaking to simplify complex technical topics for business leaders and win audiences and build enthusiasm - The ideal candidate will possess consulting experience and a proven ability to lead cross-functional virtual teams, effectively guiding members even without direct managerial authority. - Strong understanding of security operations, vulnerability management, threat detection, cloud security, and compliance frameworks. - Knowledge of Rapid7's Platform and its components, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Exposure Management (Surface Command, Exposure Command, Exposure Command ADVANCED), Attack Surface Management, Next-Gen SIEM, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Intelligence. - Strong understanding of the Microsoft Security Stack and how to drive business value alongside this through partnering. - Deep knowledge of the Central EMEA security landscape, including regulations, industry trends, and customer challenges inc compliance regulations relevant to the Central EMEA landscape (e.g. GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001, DORA, KRITIS). - Experience of working effectively in a channel sales environment, enabling and supporting partners. - Ability to travel regularly across the Central region as required for customer and industry engagements. - Fluent in English; additional Central European languages are a plus. - An insatiable curiosity for cybersecurity and a commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging threats. - Highly Recommended: A well-established network of CISOs and security leaders in the Central region - Core Value Embodiment:Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success.
