Director of Product Operations The Director of Product Operations is a highly visible leadership role responsible for enabling efficient and predictable product delivery and driving strong cross-functional collaboration. You will lead the Product Operations team to ensure products are successfully brought to market and serve as a key connector across strategy, execution, and launch. This role blends systems thinking, people leadership, and hands-on operational excellence to help the Product organization operate with clarity, focus, and speed. About the Team The Product Operations team at Rapid7 partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Customer teams to ensure we can plan, build, and launch products that customers love-at scale. The team is responsible for driving operational excellence and improving visibility, decision-making, and execution across multiple product lines. By translating product strategy into operational reality, the team ensures priorities, investments, and capacity are aligned to business and customer outcomes. About the Role As the Director of Product Operations, you will lead a team of Product Operations leaders, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You will own and evolve agile planning and execution across the Product organization, including quarterly planning and roadmap alignment. Your role is critical in ensuring that launches are well-coordinated, customer-informed, and outcome-driven. In this role, you will: - Impact Together: Lead go-to-customer collaboration by partnering with Product, Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support. - Evolve Strategy: Own and evolve agile planning and execution across the Product organization, including quarterly planning and delivery health. - Champion Delivery Excellence: Drive product launch excellence, establishing clear launch frameworks and readiness criteria from early development through post-launch. - Innovate and Optimize Systems: Enable scalable product operations systems and processes that improve visibility and execution across multiple product lines. - Drive Momentum and Decisive Action: Translate product strategy into operational reality, ensuring priorities and capacity are aligned to business outcomes. - Provide Executive Insights: Deliver clear executive-level insights through metrics, dashboards, and narratives that surface risks and progress with absolute clarity - Manage Product Tooling: Optimize tools like Jira and Confluence to support planning and launch workflows, ensuring teams are set up for success as the organization scales. - Drive Organizational Strategy: Partner with Product leadership on resourcing and budgeting to ensure teams are set up for success as the organization scales. - Lead and Grow Leaders: Mentor and develop a team of Product Operations leaders, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence The skills you'll bring include: - Deep Domain Expertise: 8+ years of relevant experience in Product Operations, Program Management, or Product Management, preferably in high-growth B2B SaaS environments. - Proven Leadership: 4+ years leading and developing managers or senior individual contributors with a track record of driving success through change and ambiguity. - Agile Mastery: Deep experience supporting agile planning, execution, and delivery health in a multi-team product environment. - Growth Mindset: A "Never Done" mindset-characterized by insatiable curiosity, a commitment to driving progress over perfection, and the resilience to navigate shifting priorities. - Data-Driven Discipline: A disciplined, rigorous approach to utilizing metrics for evaluating performance, outcomes, and progress, with a focus on learning fast from missteps. - Systems Thinking: A systems-oriented approach to planning, execution, tooling, and cross-functional product launches. - Executive Communication: Superior communication skills to translate complex operational roadmaps into compelling, transparent narratives for any audience, from technical teams to executive leadership. - Customer-First Mindset: The ability to lead with clarity, trust, and deep empathy for customer outcomes through organizational complexity. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range for this role in the US is: $195,500.00 - 264,500.00 USD Annual Salary ranges may vary based on geographical location. This range does not include variable/incentive compensation, equity and benefits (where applicable/eligible).
