Director of Technology
Commercial Fire Protection
• Lead day-to-day technology operations across infrastructure, business systems, internal IT, and application delivery. • Oversee both infrastructure and applications, ensuring stability, scalability, security, and business alignment. • Manage technology budgets across operating expenses and capital expenditures, including software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, and technical services. • Drive vendor management, renewal planning, cost optimization, and accountability for third-party partners and contractors. • Build practical operating discipline for service delivery, change management, escalation, documentation, and release coordination. • Partner with operations, finance, and executive leadership to prioritize initiatives that improve visibility, efficiency, and growth. • Support systems integration, acquired business onboarding, and scaling efforts as the company grows through 2029. • Develop KPIs, reporting rhythms, and execution follow-through for the technology function.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- Experience leading both infrastructure and applications or business systems in a growing business.
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to execute in a lean environment without relying on a large internal team.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional priorities.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and translate technical work into business value.
- Comfort balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Preferred Background Experience in multi-site, field service, industrial, facilities, compliance, construction, or similarly operational businesses.
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth, or acquisition-oriented environment.
- Track record of improving reliability, delivery discipline, and scale in a small or mid-sized organization.
- Experience leading internal staff as well as external vendors, contractors, or managed service partners.
