Senior Manager, Integrations Engineering

• You will lead the creation and scaling of a critical function within Clever. • Your core responsibilities will be to ensure school organizations have secure, high-quality, and reliable data integrations, ultimately driving user success and platform stability. • You will build a team from the ground up and be responsible for managing, mentoring, and hiring 2+ Integration Engineers, focusing on their performance, career development, and technical growth. • You will oversee the operational health of all integrations and connectors, ensuring reliability, swift resolution of issues, and continuous enhancement through deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL. • You will be a crucial technical expert in customer-facing interactions, gathering requirements, iterating on solutions, and ensuring technical alignment in collaborating with Technical Pre-Sales, Onboarding, Product, and Engineering teams. • You will lead the delivery of high-profile strategic integration development and standardization through strong project management to ensure timely delivery and high-quality deployments.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a management role, overseeing Integrations and connectors, ETL or Integration Engineers, including full responsibility for hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
- A minimum of 6+ years of total experience in ETL Engineering, Integration Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
- Operational excellence in establishing, implementing, and tracking KPIs (delivery timelines, integration quality, error rates, customer satisfaction)
- Expertise in developing and maintaining integrations using JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Exceptional customer-facing experience with a proven ability to gather technical requirements, present solutions, and iterate with external partners.
- Excellent project management skills to ensure integrations are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Proven operational and technical skills in maintaining, fixing, and enhancing deployed integrations in a production environment.
- Ability to act as a player-coach, stepping in to do hands-on development when needed while also managing the team.
