Live Designer II
Pipeworks Studios
• Design, implement, and tune live economy systems, including currencies, stores, rewards, and monetization loops. • Collaborate with analytics and product partners to interpret telemetry and KPIs, identifying actionable opportunities for engagement and revenue growth. • Define and maintain live event frameworks, seasonal structures, and cadence plans that encourage player return and spending. • Author clear documentation and economy models to communicate feature intent and tuning logic. • Partner with engineering and BI teams to ensure telemetry hooks are in place and reliable. • Evaluate and iterate on reward balance, progression pacing, and offers based on data and community feedback. • Maintain awareness of F2P best practices and trends in the social casino and live service space. • Support the long-term sustainability of Prominence Poker by contributing to live strategy, retention planning, and player experience goals. • Collaborate effectively across disciplines and time zones; occasional travel may be required for project needs.
Job Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience in game design, preferably on a live service or F2P title.
- At least one shipped live or monetized title with meaningful contribution to economy or event systems.
- Deep understanding of free-to-play economy and monetization design, including balance between progression, engagement, and spend motivation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and telemetry practices, including KPI interpretation, retention metrics, and player segmentation.
- Comfort collaborating with analytics and product managers to guide data-driven design iteration.
- Game engine experience (Unreal Engine and Unity) preferred; familiarity with source control and in-engine implementation workflows.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to express design intent clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and spreadsheet modeling (Google Sheets, Excel).
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for poker, card games, or social casino experiences a strong plus.

• Independently lead service design execution across multiple large and complex projects or workstreams as an individual contributor. • Demonstrate strong analytical and creative thinking on how to improve the end-to-end, front-to-back, and multi-modal user experience across your assigned product, project, or portfolio. • Understand the relevant policies, infrastructure, technology, and system constraints that affect the experience within a given government service. • Highlight potential gaps and areas of opportunity for improvement across the whole service, including client, staff, or processes, focusing holistically on all channels of interaction. • Use common service design methods and artifacts to document proposed service interventions and clearly communicate your understanding to the team and government partners of current and proposed future state of a service, such as journey maps, service blueprints, system diagrams, and ecosystem maps. • Define ways in which a service intervention’s impact can be measured and how impact metrics ladder up to stakeholder goals and user needs. • Participate in planning and carrying out user research activities and synthesizing research findings, typically in partnership with qualitative user researchers. • Create and test design interventions and/or hypotheses by creating low, mid, or high-fidelity prototypes.
