Account/Territory Sales Manager, Life Sciences Products

Azenta Life Sciences

• Drive growth by selling Azenta’s consumables and instrumentation portfolio to sample management, biobanking, and the broader life sciences market. • Develop and execute an effective business growth plan aligned with SMS strategic initiatives. • Achieve annual sales goals within the assigned territory. • Deliver annual and quarterly sales targets with regular reporting supported via the CRM tool, Salesforce. • Demonstrate expertise in Azenta’s Consumables and Instrument portfolio. • Report on pipeline and sales activities on a monthly basis. • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities. • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth. • Follow up on e-commerce and inbound leads.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a BSc in a Life Science subject such as: Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or Medical Science, or related fields.
  • Hands-on sales experience in the life sciences market, ideally in consumables sales.
  • Knowledge and experience in sample management is preferred.
  • Competent in demonstrating instrumentation and explaining sample workflow solutions.
  • Proven ability to work to targets and manage time effectively to meet company objectives.
  • Determined, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual.
  • Maintain excellent awareness of the laboratory marketplace, including monitoring competitor activity and market trends.
  • Fluent in German and English (B2 level or above).

Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outside Sales Representative to drive growth of our Metacaulk firestop product line. This role focuses on expanding market share through targeted outreach to new distributors, construction supply houses, and specialty firestopping contractors in the construction industry. The ideal candidate thrives in a face-to-face sales environment and is successful at building lasting relationships and loyal customers. The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $145,000 annually, inclusive of base pay and sales incentive compensation. - Target and partner with construction supply houses to increase stocking and promotion of Metacaulk products, driving incremental sales through joint marketing and training initiatives. - Identify and engage specialty contractors (e.g., firestopping specialists and installers), demonstrating how Metacaulk outperforms competitors in firestop applications, and facilitate product switches through consultations and trials. - Expand the wallet share of existing Metacaulk users and distributors to multiple product categories, caulks & sprays, devises, and additional solutions. - Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, contractors via in-person meetings, site visits, and networking events. - Perform product demonstrations, provide technical education on firestop solutions, and address customer needs related to NFPA standards and building codes. - Travel regionally (up to 50% or more) to meet clients, attend trade shows, dealer meetings, and industry events to generate leads and expand market penetration. - Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure seamless order fulfillment. - Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities using CRM tools; prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. - Identify new business opportunities by analyzing local market conditions, including competition and stakeholder trends, to secure new customers and grow existing ones. - This role may require other job duties to be performed. Requirements - Office: This position works in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment, and is seated for long periods of time. - Field: This role will also be required to visit construction sites from time to time in all types of weather conditions, navigate uneven surfaces, reach, bend, kneel, lift 40 pounds, and stand for extended periods. - Remote: This is a remote role.
