Director – Software Engineering
Cryoport
• Lead platform and data engineering functions that power Cyroport Systems • Define and execute multi quarter technology, platform, and data roadmaps aligned with business objectives • Establish data and AI infrastructure including data lakes, pipelines, and governance frameworks • Integrate predictive analytics and AI models into products and operations • Build, mentor, and retain senior engineering talent; promote diversity, inclusion and accountability • Implement scaled Agile delivery processes and maintain performance dashboards for velocity, reliability, and quality • Govern technology budgets and resource allocation across projects and platforms
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline (required); Master’s degree (preferred)
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple engineering teams
- Demonstrated success defining and delivering large-scale technology initiatives in a regulated environment
- Proven track record building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations
- Data Engineering and analytics platforms including Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and dbt
- Machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MLflow
- Backend and frontend technologies including Java, Python, Go, react, and Angular
- Cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure with Kubernetes and Docker
