A Moving Experience. Business Analyst - Sales and Finance We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analyst to join our team. This role serves as a bridge between our business stakeholders (Sales, Finance and Accounting) and our technical business systems, ensuring that tools, data, business workflows and reporting capabilities scale with Cerence’s growth and directly support our revenue-generating teams. In this position, you will utilize a combination of your experience extracting data from business systems (Hubspot, Workday and Power BI), data modelling skills, knowledge of the B2B Enterprise software sales process and prior experience working with high volume of usage based transactional sales data to build standardized data models and create visually compelling reports and dashboard that will enable data-driven decision making across the organization. Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Data Governance and Process: Work cross departmentally to document business requirements, define KPIs, and lead the design and architecture of data workflows across multiple systems to enable organizational level business reporting. - Data Transformation and Modelling: Extract usage-based sales data from various business systems (Hubspot, Workday Financials), databases (Excel, Hosted Projects) and external sources (IHS Market Data) into a BI application to create standardized data models that can be leveraged by non-technical business users to report on key business and financial results (Bookings, Billings, Revenue and Backlog Contribution). - Reporting and Dashboards: - Create self-service reports and dashboards using BI visualization tools with role level security that enable non-technical business users’ access to key financial and operational business results. - Build, maintain and continuously improve our IR KPI Dashboard. - Commercial and Sales Ops Process Enhancements: Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across contracting, forecasting and deal execution workflows. What We’re Looking For: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Operations or similar within a B2B software organization, preferably in the mid-market / enterprise space. Familiarity with B2B software licensing models; Tiered Pricing, Volume Discounts, Multi-Product Bundles is helpful. - Demonstrated experience extracting data from various sources (GTM Business System, Financial Systems, External Data Sources) and using BI applications to transform the data into meaningful data models that can be used to model long term business growth and financial results. - Experience creating complex usage-based revenue forecast models based on multiple inputs. Must have working knowledge of revenue accounting principles that are specific to the software industry (ACS 606). - Demonstrated experience documenting business requirements and designing complex data workflows across multiple systems. - Possess strong technical skills (SQL, Python, ETL, Calling Rest API’s) and proficient using popular BI tools to model data and create reports/dashboards.
