Gateway Electrical Engineer

Globalstar

• Provide full life-cycle support to gateway locations from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. • Act as the primary technical authority for electrical power systems, standby generation, UPS infrastructure, grounding and bonding, HVAC, building automation, and related monitoring systems. • Own the conceptual design for existing gateway data center upgrades and design-solutions. • Lead and manage facility-related technical projects, including renovations, expansions, and equipment installations. • Collaborate with the project management team for larger projects. • Assess company's facilities capacity and planning for future expansion or downsizing as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Prior data center or telecom engineering experience preferred
  • Proven project management responsibilities
  • Experience solving problems with engineered solutions
  • Experience managing engineering contractors and consultants

Purpose Perform all levels of electrical design including the development of construction documents. Responsibilities Leadership and Direction - Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
