• Support calculation of IBNR balances for monthly close • Collaborate with internal customers to understand their problems and objectives, solve business questions, and help them achieve goals by performing statistical analysis, developing analytic models, and creating data reports/dashboards using a variety of performance metrics • Support ad hoc analyses to provide data-driven insights to answer specific business questions that arise from company leadership and partners • Streamline processes to improve efficiency of key deliverables • Collaborate with various functional areas across Evolent including Clinical, Finance, Accounting, and Analytics • Communicate actuarial concepts and concerns within the actuarial department • Be reliable; set clear expectations, communicate proactively, and escalate risks as needed • Consistently deliver high-quality, error-free deliverables
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or related degree
- Candidates must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed a minimum of one actuarial exam
- Strong technical skills required in Microsoft Office
- Past actuarial experience and/or internship (preferred)
- 2+ actuarial exams passed (preferred)
- Experience with IBNR calculations (preferred)
- Familiarity or experience with medical/pharmacy claims (preferred)
- Familiarity with PowerQuery/BI/VBA (preferred)
- Ability to read and write SQL code (preferred)
