Senior Database Administrator

Bullhorn

• Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of business critical products and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environment. • Install, design, and maintain database system software and implement database security. • Monitor and analyze database performance, identify performance bottlenecks. • Work with development teams to tune and optimize queries. • Develop, implement, and test database backup and recovery policies and procedures. • Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards. • Create and maintain documentation for SQL database policies, procedures, and processes. • Provide technical leadership on database implementation and/or database-related deployments. • Troubleshoot performance and non-performance related issues. • Manage technology projects from initiation to completion.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology\Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 5-7+ total years of experience with database administration with a focus on MS SQL Server 2016-2022
  • 3-5 years of experience with MySQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Extensive experience with query tuning and database performance optimization
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Azure PaaS SQL offerings
  • Experience in SQL Server High Availability, Log Shipping and Replication
  • Experience in automation and managing large database environments
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting
  • Strong communication and writing skills to manage stakeholder relationships in a challenging & high-pressure environment.
