Job Description
Data Engineer
Diagonal
• Analyze various data sources and design processes for cleansing, consolidating, and preparing data for a single relational database; • Design, implement, and manage robust, scalable data pipelines; • Develop, optimize, and maintain databases and data warehouses; • Implement ETL/ELT processes to integrate multiple data sources; • Ensure data quality, security, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle; • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvements; • Collaborate with software engineering, data science, and business teams; • Stay up to date on best practices, tools, and trends in data engineering.
Job Requirements
- Solid experience in Data Engineering, with a proven track record working on data pipelines;
- Proficiency in PHP and Python;
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar);
- Experience with Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or equivalents);
- Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud data services (Redshift, BigQuery, Data Factory, etc.);
- Knowledge of data modeling, normalization, and query optimization;
- Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, or similar);
- Awareness of data security and governance, including LGPD/GDPR;
- Analytical mindset with a focus on scalability, performance, and problem solving.
