Role Description At Totara, our strength is the speed and quality with which we help customers get value from our products. We’re hiring an Implementation Engineer (Customizations & Integrations) to deliver customer-facing technical services across implementations, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing support. This is not a core product engineering role. You will write code, but code is one of several tools you’ll use to deliver outcomes—alongside configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with internal teams. The work is a mix of customer “quick wins,” extensions/customizations, and technical delivery that keeps customers successful. You’ll partner closely with customers and internal teams (including DevOps / Security / Infrastructure and R&D) to: - Translate requirements into working solutions - Communicate tradeoffs clearly - Ship improvements safely You’ll also use AI-assisted workflows to move faster (test/design/scripting support) while handling customer data responsibly and following Totara security expectations. Qualifications - 2-4 years of experience with Vue or equivalent experience with other JS frameworks (i.e. React) - 1-3 years of experience with PHP - 1-3 years of experience with SQL & Data Model Design - Working experience with Git based source control - Demonstrated experience delivering customer-facing technical work (implementation, professional services, solutions engineering, or similar), including translating requirements into working solutions. - Strong troubleshooting and production support skills: can reproduce issues reliably, communicate expected vs. actual behavior, and drive fixes through to verification. • Act as the technical lead during the pre-sales phase, partnering with Sales to understand customer requirements and shape technically sound, value-driven solutions • Develop a deep understanding of SkyCell’s end-to-end solutions, including hardware, software, data, and integrations, and how they apply within regulated pharma environments • Prepare, configure, and deliver tailored technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops for prospective customers • Lead in-depth technical discussions with customer stakeholders, addressing architecture, integrations, data flows, validation, and compliance-related questions • Configure and manage demonstration environments and support the creation of proofs of concept or prototypes to validate solution fit • Translate customer requirements into solution concepts, supporting proposal creation, RFP responses, and technical documentation • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and production-ready • Provide technical input into pricing, scope, and risk considerations during the sales process • Stay informed on industry trends, pharma regulations, and competitor solutions to effectively position SkyCell’s offering • Capture and relay structured feedback from the field to Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap and solution improvements • Support customer meetings, pilots, and industry events as a technical representative

• Provide consulting services to advise on best practices to use and implement best ERP solution for the client • Design, develop and deploy solutions and applications that help clients optimize the value they derive from their accounting and financial strategies • Perform maintenance and administrative tasks in both production and non-production environment • Manage and assist clients through proactive contact with prompt resolutions • Key point of contact for ERP implementations, upgrades and support, from kick off meeting/requirements gathering to testing, go-live and support • Analyze impact of specific requirements on the platform and identify the optimum way to migrate to the new platform – both functionality and data • Identify opportunities to improve performance and proactively challenge system usage to maximize return on investment • Ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction through project sign-off and survey follow up • Check deliverables of vendor partners to make sure they are fit-for-purpose and guide and coach teams as necessary • Build and maintain client relationships with business and technology stakeholders • Develop and test detailed functional designs for business solution components and prototypes • Follow set company processes, guidelines and framework • Act as subject matter expert providing best-practice guidance on financial business processes and implementation approaches • Participate in sales and marketing activities as needed
