Team Summary The Field Services team supports and partners with internal and external stakeholders to provide best in class installation and services of our commercial roofing products. This team supports the Siplast line with additional support for GAF, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed. This position is remote, however, they will reside in the territory and generally requires the establishment of, and operation from, an in-home office and it requires travel of 30-60% to various customers, events and offsite meetings. The position reports to the Area Director Field Services or Regional Manager Field Services as applicable. Job Summary The District Technical Representative (DTR) supports Siplast roofing, building envelope, and waterproofing systems for low-slope roof types commercial construction and will provide additional support for GAF, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed. The DTR will be responsible for conducting roofing system start-ups, interim and final inspections, and managing warranty claims in the their assigned area. He/She will have a strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders. The role also includes thorough reporting and administrative tasks, maintaining schedule, time, and expense management, and adhering to field safety practices. This position reports directly to the Regional Field Services Manager or Area Director and generally requires the establishment of, and operation from, an in-home office. Essential Duties - Conduct milestone inspections such as pre-construction, interim and final for new construction roofing, building envelope and waterproofing projects and leak and complaint inspections for finished projects - Assists in problem resolution, investigates complaints and warranty claims, including providing on-site evaluations and written documentation to internal and external business partners and owners/customers - Delivers on-site and remote training for contractors, installers, and internal employees to ensure product knowledge and installation standards for the entire Siplast product line with additional support for GAF, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed - Serve as a technical resource for project teams, providing troubleshooting assistance and field recommendations. - Complete and submit accurate field reports, inspection documentation, and warranty assessments in a timely manner. - Manage schedules to prioritize open inspections, mileage and expense reports in alignment with company policies and ensure cost effectiveness. - Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment including but not limited to following established safety protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment, participating in safety training, reporting hazards or incidents promptly and complying to all safety regulations.
