Property Management Accountant

• Manage rent ledgers, tenant payments, and account reconciliations. • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records. • Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions. • Prepare monthly financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and P&L reports. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow tracking. • Maintain compliance with U.S. property management accounting standards and procedures. • Review financial variances and resolve discrepancies. • Coordinate with property managers to support monthly and year-end closing tasks. • Maintain digital financial files and ensure documentation accuracy.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in property management accounting
- Strong proficiency in AppFolio and QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of rent ledgers, reconciliations, AP/AR, and property financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment
- CPA or U.S. Accounting Certification (preferred but not required)

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations (AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations). • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. • Produce statutory financial statements and tax filings in line with Canary Islands and Spanish regulations. • Support the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and reporting packages for U.S. stakeholders. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring, and variance analysis. • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors, preparing required documentation. • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. • Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reports for management decision‑making.
