Engineering Manager

• Manage a team of software engineers • Oversee day-to-day agile executions, planning, process improvements, reporting and reviews • Work closely with the team, report and cooperate directly with the CTO • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Engineering • Run or join virtual teams for different cross-team projects delivery • Ensure delivery on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in a fast-paced environment • Technology quality ownership • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and deadlines • Participate in release planning, sprint planning, and conflict resolution within or between scrum teams • Work with product management to define the requirements/user stories, perform groomings and reviews • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques • Perform risk management to minimize project risks • Work with customer success teams to resolve critical customer issues • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals • Be both a technical leader and a thoughtful people manager • Provide team members guidance, regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring • Manage performance and conduct regular performance reviews • Work closely together with recruiters to grow the team, participate in interviews, recruiting and onboarding processes • Help the team solve technical challenges related to performance, fault-tolerance, security and scalability.

Job Requirements

  • Strong motivator, leader, team player with a record of leading and mentoring employees
  • Proven practical experience in engineering management
  • Background in Engineering/Team Lead role
  • Experience in guiding teams through planning, prioritization, and execution of work
  • Experience in development team managing
  • Experience in Image Processing / Video Processing
  • Machine Learning and Data Analytics skills would be a plus.
