Employee Relations Specialist

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers seeking guidance on workplace issues, performance improvement plans, terminations, disputes, conflicts, and other disciplinary actions • Effectively utilize Case Management System (CMS) for thorough documentation of all cases while adhering to policies and procedures • Work with leaders and HR Business Partners across the organization to manage performance-related issues, including counseling, performance improvement plans, and terminations • Assist in conducting thorough investigations into employee complaints, disputes, and policy violations to ensure fair and consistent outcomes • Interpret and apply company policies and federal, state, and local labor laws to ensure organizational compliance and advise management accordingly • Support and present training to employees and management on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and compliance • Foster positive communication channels between employees and management and facilitate effective collaboration within the organization • Partner with HR Coordinators to prepare reports and analyses of employee relations data to inform management and support strategic decisions
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on Employee Relations
- A passion for focusing on Employee Relations with a general understanding of Employment Law Knowledge (EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
- SHRM or HRCI Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel required
- Workday experience a plus
