Freelance Medical Writer – Independent Medical Education, IME/CME

• Develop educational content for IME/CME activities, including slide decks, case studies, scripts, storyboards, and written materials • Conduct literature research and synthesize clinical data into clear, accurate, and balanced educational content • Develop needs assessments based on literature, expert input, and prior program insights • Create measurable learning objectives aligned to identified practice gaps and Moore’s Levels of Outcomes • Review and QC faculty-provided materials for scientific accuracy, balance, and clarity • Format and improve PowerPoint presentations and written documents as needed • Incorporate feedback from internal teams, faculty, and accreditors • Compile and correctly format references and source documentation • Ensure content aligns with IME/CME compliance and accreditation expectations

Job Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a life science discipline (PhD, MSc, PharmD, MD) or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in medical writing within IME/CME, medical education, or medical communications
  • Demonstrated experience with needs assessments and learning objective development
  • Familiarity with Moore’s Levels or outcomes-based education frameworks
  • Strong ability to interpret clinical trial data and primary literature
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
