• Design and deliver responsive web layouts, landing pages, and campaign experiences that align with brand standards and marketing goals. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand, Marketing, Copy, Development) to ensure visual storytelling and functionality meet project objectives. • Prepare and optimize multi-density assets (1x, 2x, 3x) and export pipelines (WebP, SVG, PNG) for implementation. • Partner with developers to ensure design fidelity and provide clear handoff specifications. • Maintain accessibility standards (WCAG AA) and localization readiness (text expansion, RTL). • Participate in creative reviews and critiques, giving and receiving constructive feedback. • Support junior designers by reviewing files, mentoring on responsive design, and ensuring consistent application of design systems. • Manage multiple web projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and ensure high-quality delivery. • Document design systems, visual rules, and rationale for future use and scalability. • Communicate project status and blockers through Jira and regular cross-team syncs.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in web or graphic design (with a strong focus on web).
  • Advanced Figma skills - including components, libraries, and design tokens.
  • Expertise in responsive design, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Working understanding of HTML/CSS, browser behavior, and developer collaboration.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and localization challenges (multi-language support, RTL layouts).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.

The Role As a Senior Motion Designer within the HID Advanced Team, you will define how motion brings GM's digital experiences to life across web, app, and emerging platforms. This is a senior individual contributor role where craft is strategy - your motion systems, interaction behaviors, and visual language will shape how customers perceive and experience GM products. You will operate at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling - creating motion frameworks that scale across platforms while pushing the boundaries of visual innovation. From real-time rendering to procedural systems and physics-based simulations, your work will elevate the emotional resonance and performance of GM's digital ecosystem. Beyond execution, you will act as a craft leader - setting standards for motion excellence, mentoring designers, and influencing product direction through the clarity and sophistication of your work. What You'll Do • Design and produce advanced motion graphics, procedural animations, particle systems, and simulations. • Build dynamic, data-driven visuals using tools such as Houdini, Maya, Cinema 4D, or similar. • Prototype and deliver motion optimized for real-time deployment and performance constraints. • Explore emerging technologies including GPU-driven visuals, AI- generated motion, custom shaders, and novel rendering techniques. • Experiment with new visual languages that differentiate GM's digital presence. • Balance expressive ambition with accessibility, inclusivity, and usability standards. • Elevate the overall bar for visual quality, interaction refinement, and brand expression across the organization. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) • 7+ years experience in node-based animation, motion graphics, VFX, compositing and 3D. • Strong fundamentals in physics-based animation and simulation theory. • Experience in building sophisticated particles, fluid and dynamic data-driven simulations using Houdini, Maya or similar software/tools. • Experience with Python or similar scripting • Proficiency in After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, or other 3D software. • Proficiency in one of the rendering engines like Octane, Arnold, RedShift. • Ability to translate creative intent into robust procedural systems. • Good foundation and understanding of animation principles. • Excellent collaborative skills. • Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules and work independently with little directions. • Effective time management with an ability to spearhead multiple projects and work independently.
